What Is 38-0?

38-0 is a free football season simulator that runs entirely in your browser. No club has ever gone through a 38-game Premier League season without dropping points — the Arsenal Invincibles of 2003/04 came closest with 26 wins and 12 draws. This game asks a simple question: with every legend in Premier League history available, could you build a team that goes 38 wins, 0 draws, 0 losses?

The game is a fan-made tribute to Premier League history, built as a static site. Your progress, records and achievements live in your browser's local storage — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

How the Game Works

You spin a slot machine through 44 historic club-season squads — from Blackburn's 1995 champions to the 2024/25 campaign — and pick one player per squad until your all-time XI is complete. Then you choose one of 12 legendary managers, each with a team-rating bonus, and simulate a full 38-round season against 19 other historic teams with live scoreboards, xG, momentum and minute-by-minute commentary.

Normal mode shows every player's rating. Legend mode hides them, so only real football knowledge can guide your draft. A Daily Challenge gives every player the same draft seed each day, and a local Hall of Fame records your last 50 seasons.

Where the Data Comes From

Squad lists are compiled from Wikipedia season squad tables and cross-checked against 11v11.com appearance records for each season. Player OVR ratings are anchored to EA FIFA/FC ratings for the corresponding year, adjusted where a player's real performance that season clearly outran or fell short of their card. The dataset covers 22 clubs and 792 players across 1992/93 to 2024/25, and every squad page in the squads database shows the full ratings.
